The health, work and tax merry-go-round

Many of us are living longer.

So we will need more medical care.

To fund this medical care, taxes and social insurance will have to go up.

In order to pay for all these, we will have to work harder.

The harder we work, the more stressed we become.

More stress means more illness. (Can you see where this is leading?)

More illness will increase the demand for medical care. (You guessed it!)

This will push up taxes and social insurance costs.

To afford these, we will have to work harder.
